oitc 2012 diary

Well another day down. We had work experience this morning with two different groups of kids from the local school, it went well I think. Dickie was evaluating us on our performance, most of us were nervous at first but as we got to actually working with the kids on the low ropes course you could just see everyone was having as much fun as the kids. No one died, surprisingly. Honestly though it was a great chance to put some of what we have learned to use and see how much fun and how much of a challenge working with groups could be. We did more lifeguard theory this afternoon and we went over hand signals and such. We have fitness tomorrow and swimming, joy of all joys. The group is becoming more like a family for me everyday, Tim is still sick and Clo is home with some bad illness, prayers and such for both to recover. Having a blast and looking forward to more great days like today.
