Surf, Swim and Lifeboat Station…

Today in the morning we went out for a surf to Tullan Where conditions were very rippy and messy since some got caught in a rip we were called out and went to main beach where we swam out in a rip and back to the shore. We also had to rescue some conscious casualties bringing them in without a tube towing them across our chest.

Anyone see the casualty????

In the afternoon we went to have a look at the lifeboat station where we were shown how every thing on the boat works and the different jobs on the boat and in the station. We also watched some videos off exercises they did.

It was very interesting.

We also got to watch the fastrailians training their lifeguard skills while we were in the warm boathouse drinking a lovely cup off tea… yummm yumm…..
